Vision
Hand-in-Hand’s vision for Land of Hope is that for over the next five years to be able to help re house five more families at least, each being able to support themselves in due time. We hope to be able to set up housing for the elderly who have no family or have been abandoned and left without income or a safe haven, so as to regain their dignity and self-worth and live out their final days with peace of mind and heart.
We also hope to acquire more land on which to build suitable accommodation, training facilities and also use the land to generate income.
We hope to continue to reach out to the local school and help with as much education as possible to insure children have the best chance to start in life and for their futures. The land of hope will be used for after school and weekends and holidays to help with English lessons and practical training.
Land of hope will be a safe haven for children in need.
As Hand-in-Hand continues to rescue girls, we hope to have several teams or individuals doing the ongoing work with other girls who have been rescued from the sex trade and set up projects in other villages throughout Thailand.
We hope to have Thai as well as western staff to work long and short-term and it is hoped that those we have rescued will have as much input into the land of hope and training projects as possible.
We hope to be able to provide work with a fair income for those who missed out on a chance of education in their time. Also offer education and training to help them find higher paid work or develop their skills to be able to be self-employed, and at the very least gain their self-respect.
